From Christian Dior's SS 2002 collection under Galliano. The trompe-l'œil crystal embroidery at the neckline - clear and chartreuse faceted crystals arranged to read as a ribbon tie -- is a characteristically Galliano conceit: illusion and embellishment serving the same end.

  • Bias-cut floor-length evening gown in black chiffon
  • Scoop neckline and low back
  • Trompe-l'œil ribbon tie embellishment at neckline and straps in clear and chartreuse faceted crystals
  • Layered chiffon panels at skirt
