ABOUT EPOQUE

Epoque Couture is an archive and specialist dealer in archival fashion.
We curate garments from established fashion houses, independent designers and anonymous couture for their craftsmanship and provenance.
Designers represented include Christian Dior, Chanel, Alaïa, Thierry Mugler, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood, Valentino, Tom Ford for Gucci, Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier and Versace

OUR MISSION

Epoque Couture sources and documents archival fashion with a clear place in the work of a designer or fashion house.
We present each garment with the research needed to understand its history and thus give enough context for its interpretation.
Each product page includes a curator's note written specifically for each piece, as well as a short paragraph on the designer who created it.

THE ARCHIVE

The Epoque Couture archive brings together fashion from the post-war period to the present, with particular strength in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Designers represented include John Galliano for Christian Dior, Azzedine Alaïa, Thierry Mugler, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel under Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino, Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Tom Ford for Gucci, original Balenciaga alongside independent designers and anonymous couture.
Any documented runway presentation, campaign appearance, museum exhibition, or haute couture status is noted on the garment's product page.
