RETURNS & EXCHANGES

At Epoque Couture, each piece is individually sourced, assessed, and presented for its unique character, history, and craftsmanship.
As our garments are vintage and often one-of-a-kind, we strongly encourage customers to carefully review all descriptions, photographs, measurements, and condition notes prior to purchase.

1. EU CUSTOMERS - RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

If you are purchasing from within the European Union, you are entitled to statutory consumer rights.

You have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, please notify us by email at info@epoque-couture.com within 14 days of delivery. Returned items must be sent back within 14 days of notifying us.

Important Conditions

  • Garments may only be handled to the extent necessary to assess their nature, characteristics, and fit, as would be possible in a physical retail environment.

  • Wearing the item, removing or tampering with tags, altering the garment, or exposing it to odours, makeup, or damage constitutes use beyond inspection.

  • Where a returned item shows signs of wear, alteration, or diminished value, Epoque Couture reserves the right to refuse the return or deduct an appropriate amount from any refund, up to the full value of the item, in accordance with EU law.

  • Items must be returned unworn, unaltered, and in original condition, with any original tags, seals, or packaging intact.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or misdescribed.

2. REST OF THE WORLD

For customers outside the EU, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, sizing issues, or personal preference. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.


3. MISREPRESENTED OR FAULTY ITEMS (ALL JURISDICTIONS)

In the rare event that an item arrives significantly misrepresented (for example, a major flaw not disclosed in the listing), we will accept a return and offer either:

  • Store credit, redeemable against future purchases; or

  • A refund, in line with your statutory rights.

To initiate a return, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. Once the item is received and inspected, we will confirm whether it meets our return criteria.

Approved returns are processed within 5 business days. Store credit will be issued as a unique digital code.

Please note: Epoque Couture is not responsible for parcels lost, delayed, or withheld by couriers or customs authorities. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured return service.

    CONDITION SCALE 

    All garments offered by Epoque Couture are carefully assessed and, where necessary, professionally restored prior to sale. Pieces that do not meet our wearability and integrity standards are not included in our collection, which is why we do not offer items described as being in “fair” condition.

    We use the following condition scale:

    • Excellent 
      Garment is in outstanding condition with no or minimal signs of wear. Any flaws present are negligible and do not detract from the overall appearance or integrity of the piece.
    • Very Good
      The garment has been well preserved and shows only slight signs of wear consistent with age. Any imperfections are minimal and do not detract from the overall appearance or functionality.
    • Good 
      This garment has undergone professional restoration; however, despite our efforts, it continues to show signs of age consistent with its history. The piece remains fully functional and wearable and has been retained in our collection for its relevance and significance. All faults are clearly described.

    COLOUR NOTE 

    We do our best to ensure all product photography is colour-accurate. However, colours may vary slightly due to lighting, screen calibration, and individual device settings.
