Curator's Note

From Chanel's SS 2001 runway under Karl Lagerfeld. Two details set this suit apart: the detached cuffs, fastened by the house's signature chain, and the chain-weighted hem - a structural choice that gives the jacket its characteristic fall. Considered construction at its best.
