The gown version also closed Tom Ford's final runway show for Yves Saint Laurent and was worn by Nicole Kidman to the 2004 Tony Awards. The print was later worn by Kate Moss for a Vogue editorial photographed by Nick Knight, while the top was more recently worn by Hailey Bieber.

Tom Ford for Yves Saint Laurent

Tom Ford was appointed creative director of Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche in 2000. His collections drew on the house's established codes of bohemian femininity, fluid silk eveningwear and the Le Smoking, while bringing richly referenced geographic collections that remain among the most distinctive of his career: the 2001 Mexican collection, the 2002 African Safari collection and his 2004 Far East finale. Pieces from his four-year tenure at YSL carry a different sensibility to his Gucci work - more romantic, more geographically expansive, and are increasingly represented in museum collections and private archives.
