Loewe
Loewe was founded in Madrid in 1846 as a collective of skilled leather craftsmen, predating most of the Paris houses. The house was granted a Royal Warrant as supplier to the Spanish royal court in 1905, launched ready-to-wear in 1965 and was acquired by LVMH in 1996. Jonathan Anderson was appointed creative director in 2013, bringing a conceptual rigour to the house's leather craft tradition and launching the Puzzle bag in 2014, constructed from 75 individual leather pieces and one of the defining accessories of the decade. He departed in 2025 and was succeeded by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler.
