Curator's Note

A longer iteration of this dragon-print design was featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's China: Through the Looking Glass exhibition (2015). The gown version also closed Tom Ford's final runway show for Yves Saint Laurent and was worn by Nicole Kidman to the 2004 Tony Awards. The print was later worn by Kate Moss for a Vogue editorial photographed by Nick Knight, while the top was more recently worn by Hailey Bieber.

Halterneck overlay fastening at the back with three fabric-covered buttons
Strapless boned corset base
Draped and gathered satin overlay panel creating a belt effect at the waist

Knee-length pencil silhouette with concealed back zip closure
Printed satin dragon motifs appliquéd to the front and back panels
Sheer blue tulle inserts at the sides
