Ralph & Russo was founded in London in 2006 by Tamara Ralph, a fourth-generation couturière, and Michael Russo. In 2013 the house became the first British fashion house in almost a century to be accredited by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, showing on the official Paris Haute Couture Week schedule from 2014. Its clients included Meghan Markle, Angelina Jolie and Beyoncé. Each garment was made entirely by hand in the house's London atelier, with individual pieces requiring hundreds of hours of embroidery, hand painting and beadwork.
