Givenchy opened his house in 1952 and led it until he retired in 1995. The jacket is cut in black breitschwanz, a flat broadtail lamb fur with a natural moiré pattern. It has a red trim edges the collar, the front, the hem and the cuffs. The shoulders are padded and gathered at the sleeve head.
